This privacy policy describes how the Verity Panel Builder ("the tool") collects, uses, and handles information when you use the service at verity-gating-tool.web.app.

What we collect

• Panel inputs: The species, tissue type, research goal, cytometer, and marker constraints you enter are sent to our AI model to generate panel recommendations. These inputs are not stored.
• Feedback submissions: If you submit a thumbs up or thumbs down rating and optional comment, that feedback is stored in our database. This includes your rating, comment text, the panel context (species, tissue, goal, cytometer), and an anonymized network identifier.
• Usage data: Basic request metadata (timestamp, approximate geographic region via IP address) is logged by Firebase for rate limiting and abuse prevention. Raw IP addresses are not retained beyond 24 hours.

How we use your data

• Feedback you submit may be reviewed by an AI system and, if scientifically valid, incorporated into future panel recommendations for all users of this tool.
• Aggregated, non-identifying usage statistics may be used to improve the tool.
• We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.
• We do not use your data to identify you personally.

Community feedback

The Verity Panel Builder is designed as a community learning tool. When you submit feedback, you are contributing to a shared knowledge base that improves panel recommendations for the broader flow cytometry community. Please do not include personally identifiable information, proprietary data, or confidential institutional protocols in your feedback.

Data retention

Feedback submissions are retained indefinitely to support the tool's learning function. You may request deletion of your submission by contacting us — because submissions are not linked to user accounts, we will need the approximate date and content of your submission to locate it.

Third-party services

• Anthropic Claude API: Panel generation and feedback validation are powered by Anthropic's Claude AI. Your inputs are sent to Anthropic's API under their privacy policy.
• Google Firebase: The tool is hosted on Firebase. Data is stored in Firestore (Google Cloud) under Google's privacy policy.
