Panel design that learns from everyone who uses it

The Verity Panel Builder combines AI-assisted panel design with real-world feedback from immunologists — so every panel generated is informed by the collective experience of the scientists who came before.

A panel designer built around how immunologists actually work

Designing a multicolor flow cytometry panel is one of the most technically demanding tasks in immunology. Fluorochrome conflicts, spectral spillover, antigen density mismatches, tissue-specific autofluorescence — getting it right requires experience that takes years to accumulate and is rarely written down in one place.

The Panel Builder draws on a detailed, curated knowledge base — spectral conflict rules, validated clone recommendations, OMIP reference panels — and applies it through Claude, Anthropic's AI model, to generate optimized panel recommendations in seconds. It handles any conventional or spectral instrument configuration and flags potential problems before they become failed experiments.

Every panel generated makes the next one better

The tool is designed around a simple idea: immunologists who run panels every day know things that aren't in any textbook. When a recommendation doesn't match real-world experience, that correction is worth preserving — not just for the person who made it, but for every scientist who builds a similar panel afterward.

Step 1
You build a panel
AI generates recommendations based on your species, tissue, goal, and cytometer.
Step 2
You share feedback
Rate the panel. If something's off, describe what should change.
Step 3
Everyone benefits
Validated corrections are incorporated into future recommendations for all users.

Submissions are reviewed by an AI validator for scientific accuracy before entering the shared pool — so the knowledge base stays clean as it grows. No account required. The corrections you contribute stay in the system and keep working indefinitely.

Built by an immunologist, for immunologists

The Panel Builder was built by Anthony Desbien, PhD — an immunologist with over 15 years of experience across IDRI, Aduro Biotech, and Tizona Therapeutics, where he worked on innate immunity, myeloid biology, and translational IO programs. The tool grew out of a simple frustration: designing panels from scratch is time-consuming, the rules are scattered across vendor guides and papers, and institutional knowledge walks out the door when scientists move on.

As the database of real-world corrections grows, the recommendations improve — for mouse lung panels, for human PBMC, for tumor microenvironments, for every tissue and species combination that scientists submit. The goal is a tool that gets meaningfully better the more it's used, and that remains useful to everyone in the field.
